Have you ever walked in the Peak District and wondered what was that flower you saw, or what was the bird flying over head, and not known? We now have the solution for you. Aimed along similar lines as the guided moutain bike rides, these walks are either half or full days with a guide who is a keen bird watcher and animal lover, who is studying horticulture. Pre booking is essential.
The routes are based around what you want to see and how far you want to walk. Where possible we include places where you are most likely to see birds, flowers and wildlife. As we are local guides and have done many walks around such places as Bakewell, the White and Dark Peaks and Castleton just to name a few places. We know what birds are where and which flowers are out.
Though we can't guarantee you will see anything we do try our hardest - after all that's the nature of nature! Please bring your own binoculars.
Birds that you could see:
Dippers, grey wagtail, kestrel, wheatear, pippet, skylark, redstart.
What you might see is:
Hare and rabbits, water voles, dales of beautiful wild orchids.
If you are a party of people and half of you want to walk and the other half want to do a guided mountain bike ride anywhere in the Peak District we can accommodate you. Talking of accommodation if you are stuck for a place to stay try:
