Sweat and Smile Personal Training is happy to answer question that you email us on sweatandsmile@googlemail.com or txt me on 07914817073.  The question and answer will be posted on here, personal details can be altered or with held if wanted. You can ask anything you want, ranging from where to go running in the Peak District, through to guided mountain bike rides in the Peak district and of course the usual questions on weight lose and diet.
 
Q Where is the nearest running club to me? Jane in Buxton
A Buxton AC is the closest to you, they meet 7pm Wednesday at the Railway Pub Buxton.
 
Q Why did you make us fill in a questionnaire when you already know me? Louise from Tideswell
A Well Louise, yes i do know you and we often run together but the idea of a questionnaire is it provides a minimum screening procedure. It aims to identify if you are suitable to participate in fitness activites and whether there is anything I need to know so we can do effective exercise.
 
Q Is there a basic fitness test you can do as a runner? Jennie from Hope
A yes there is a test you can do. For runners I do 4 tests all of which I learnt when doing the YMCA Gym Instructors course.
Cardio-vascular endurance (stamina test)
This is a test to see how far you can run/walk in 12 minutes
Flexibility Test
This is a sit and reach test to see the flexibility of the hip joint and hamstring muscles
Muscle strenght and Endurance tests
Press up (Full for men and 3/4 for female) This tests the strenght and endurance of your chest, shoulder and arm muscles.
Sit up
This is a test of strenght and endurance of your abdominal muscles
