Running in and around Tideswell in the Peak District

Apart from local training runs I am doing the Great North Run and the Great South and some races closer to home such as the Yorkshire 10k (sheffield) and the Chesterfield 10 miler.

A number of my clients are training to run local races and will be gearing our training towards them. But if you want to run for fitness then why not join us.

If you fancy joining us we run in Buxton on a Wednesday night and in Tideswell on a Saturday morning . Anybody can join us and each session costs £2 per person please ring 07914817073 for detail, they are open to all but more are more aimed at beginners and those wanting to improve their running.

Running sessions
Wednesday. We meet in Tideswell at 7pm
Saturday. We meet in Tideswell at 8.30am
Both open to all, please call Paul on 07914817073 for details of where to meet.

The Wednesday and Saturday runs are aimed at beginners.

We don't just run but do technique sessions, speed session, hill repeats, we do the hard work so when you run on your own it seems easy.

Also included is the rule of turn back, to pick up the slower runner so no one gets left behind EVER. Naturally if you want to know what the session was that you have just done, it can be texted or emailed to you for NO extra cost, so you can do it on your own.

Sweat and Smile Personal Training also offers 1-2-1 running tuition or for small groups. So if you or a group of friends want to run and can't get to Tideswell or Chatsworth, we can come to you.

We are expanding the running side and will soon be running sessions in Hadfield, Hayfield, Glossop, Ashford in the Water and Stoney Middleton. If you or a group of friends want to run in your area and need just a little advice then call Paul on 07914817073.

Coaching tips.
These tips below come from friends, courses I have done. Where possible I have put the source.
Change your trainers after you have run approximately 500 miles (fit 2 run course and runners world)
Prevention is better than cure.
Never wear new trainers in a race, always break them in first (Runners world)
Minor muscle injuries rest for at least 24-48 hours (life time fitness)
